ABOUT ME

Hi!! I'm Ava Wick, co-creator of Ava & Annika. Photography has always been my way of understanding the world. Guided by curiosity and a careful eye for detail, I started sharing a camera with my twin sister Annika at a young age. Her and I would take over everyday spaces and turn them into sets. That early instinct to play and explore continues to define our work as a duo.

We each bring something different. I lean into precision and detail, while Annika brings the lightness and creative instinct that balances everything out.

My work explores girlhood, identity, and the intimacy of people. I'm drawn to images that feel spontaneous and alive. As a Photography student at SCAD, I aim to capture something honest in the person in front of my camera, while also letting something slightly surreal unfold.
